"It was all about me and [KayBee Photos] did a great job capturing the vision. It was a blast. My photos turned out great! They did a great job making my vision come alive. The turn around was fast. The quality was great. From beginning to the end."
Kirstie and Sarah are a best friend photography duo that met all the way back in 5th grade! They can often communicate with just a simple look or hand gesture (which comes in very handy during wedding ceremonies!!) It's not uncommon to find them dying of laughter from their own jokes - and they're not sorry.
After working as freelancers for many different companies, they learned many do's and don'ts to get KayBee Photos where it is today. The chemistry of these two is unmatched and they strive to bring their clients the same joy they bring to each other.
Kirstie graduated from Benedictine University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts and shortly after created what has now become KayBee Photos. She's fantasied about her own wedding since she can remember and they quickly became her favorite thing to photograph. Right next to babies and puppies! She finally married her high school sweetheart in 2018 and in 2020 they welcomed their baby boy, Oliver. Her photographic style is best described as photojournalistic and contemporary. When she's not taking photos, you can most commonly find her at home playing with son and her pups, Hossa and Archie, or watching her favorite TV show, FRIENDS.
Sarah has always had an interest in photography, and began to pursue her passion professionally in 2013, a year before becoming a managing partner of KayBee Photos. An alumni of the University of St. Francis, Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts and specializes in Portrait, Wedding and Event Photography, with a modern and photojournalistic style. Sarah loves to bring clients' out-of-the-box ideas to life, no matter how unconventional they may be. When she isn’t shooting, you can find her out supporting local art and music in her community; she currently resides in Joliet, IL.
Mike has been working with pictures (both still and motion) for over 10 years. His education in Social Communication and Journalism comes from his time spent at Estácio São Luís in Maranhão, Brasil. His interest in wedding videography blossomed from his time working as a video editor for an advertising agency. “I always loved how you can frame moments that would have been lost forever if it wasn’t for photography”. When Mike doesn’t have filming equipment glued to his hand, you can catch him playing guitar or video games.
